For the 8th year running, Eventex Awards will highlight the top achievements by event professionals, meeting planners, promoters, and live communication professionals in producing cutting-edge event experiences.
For this edition of the awards competition, the organizers are aiming to reach an unprecedented amount of people by going 100% online. This includes the ceremony on February 20, 2018 where the winners are announced – this time it will also be entirely online and streamed to an impressive number of people via Facebook Live and YouTube.
Additional changes to the competition have been made to give each entry the most fair and balanced score. Judging is now done in two stages with the Delphi method applied. After an initial scoring phase, the judges take part in online sessions hosted by a facilitator, where they get to discuss the entries in their respective categories and the reasoning behind their scores. Eventually, they can revise their initial scores, if they wish to do so.
«For the past seven years Eventex Awards have grown into possibly the most coveted and recognizable awards in the world of events. The competition is completely transparent and both big and small events have an equal chance of winning. We believe that going 100% online is a huge step in the right direction – everything becomes even more accessible, and entries are showcased to a much wider international audience which is key for a successful business», said Ovanes Ovanessian, founder of Eventex Awards.
Since its inception in 2011, Eventex Awards has grown considerably with each consecutive year. Today, the competition attracts some of the biggest names in the events world and the 8th edition promises to be the best one yet. Early registrations for the competition are at a reduced price and submissions can be sent at any time before November 15, 2017.
